I already have a master’s degree, but I want to obtain an administration licensure. Is this program right for me?
- The M.Ed. program features two pathways for individuals seeking an licensure in administration and supervision.
- Traditional Master’s Degree Path (designed for students who do not currently hold a master’s degree): Students complete the degree in 30 credit hours, allowing them to attain professional goals while meeting licensure requirements. This pathway leads to a master’s degree and eligibility for preK-12 Administration Licensure.
- Alternate Route for current Master’s Degree Holders Students who already hold a master’s degree may apply two relevant courses from the prior master’s degree and reduce the total number units from 30 to 24. This pathway leads to an additional master’s degree and eligibility for preK-12 Administration Licensure.
Additionally, current master’s degree holders who are interested in pursuing leadership roles at the district level (roles like superintendents or directors of system-wide leadership positions) might be interested in our Ed.D. in administration and supervision program.
